  vw passat review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/volkswagen/passat/saloon/review

the volkswagen passat has always been a favourite among long distance drivers - its fantastic ability to eat up long motorway journeys is almost unrivalled- the new version is no different. the suspension is soft enough to soak up rough road surfaces while the cabin gets lots of sound-deadening insulation. this means engine and road noise are almost unnoticable at cruising speed - something that helps the miles fly by! full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/volkswagen/passat/saloon/review

  honda accord review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/honda/accord/saloon/review

excellent build quality and an upmarket interior mean that the honda accord is now a worthy rival to established, executive german saloon cars like the bmw 3 series and audi a4. honda has a long record of good reliability, and that hasn't changed with this generation of accord. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/honda/accord/saloon/review

  peugeot 3008 review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/3008/hatchback/review

the peugeot 3008 blends the best qualities of a hatchback, a people carrier and a 4x4. the looks are a step in a new direction for peugeot, as is the interior, which is beautifully built and feels like a premium product. it's practical, too, as the split tailgate is very convenient and the cabin is well thought out. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/3008/hatchback/review

  porsche panamera review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/porsche/panamera/hatchback/review

porsche could be criticised for being lacking a sense of adventure when it comes to design, but its dedication to providing a fantastic driving experience shines through with the panamera. this oddly proportioned hatchback is porsche's first 'saloon', yet the german firm has injected it with the dna of a sports car. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/porsche/panamera/hatchback/review

jaguar xf 2.2 diesel review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/jaguar/xf/saloon/review

following a recent facelift the latest jaguar xf is great to look at and even better to drive- everything a top british luxury car should be. its leather-trimmed interior is wonderfully detailed, and a world away from the dark, sombre cabins of many audis and bmws. refined and well equipped, we say it's one of the best executive cars money can buy. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/jaguar/xf/saloon/review

  peugeot 5008 review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/5008/mini-mpv/review

compared to peugeot's people carriers of old, the 5008 is an absolute revolution. the interior is well thought out and offers plenty of space and practicality, yet the 5008 is good to drive at the same time. peugeot has improved its cabin quality markedly, and the 5008 feels very well built. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/5008/mini-mpv/review

  peugeot 308 review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/308/hatchback/video

peugeots have always been renowned for their good handling and the 308 is no exception. it's good to drive and rides well, while the big boot and top quality interior give it the edge over rivals.

there's plenty of safety equipment in the 308 and its high-class interior makes it feel like a more expensive car. the diesel engines are strong and at speed the peugeot is very refined, so it's a great motorway companion. the 308 is let down by the fact that it's very similar to the 307 that preceded it, so it's cabhin seems a little old fashioned and doesn't feel like an up-to-date car. meanwhile, the 308 sw has a better interior, but this car's trump card is its huge amount of space inside. the 308 sw is also available with an extra pair of seats in the back, which makes it massively practical and attractive if you have a large family.

the new honda civic is available to order from dealers now, with the first uk deliveries arriving in january 2012. up against the ford focus and bmw 1 series, the new civic's styling is an evolution of the radical look of the previous edition, retaining the split rear window and short, curved bonnet. the new design gets led running lights and a useful rear windscreen wiper. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/honda/civic/hatchback/review

  peugeot rcz review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/rcz/coupe/review

with its supercar good looks and competitive price, the peugeot rcz is a real head-turner. but the most satisfying things about this audi tt rival are that it's fun to drive, comfortable and relatively cheap to run. up front it feels spacious, and the boot is a reasonable size, so it's easy to live with day-to-day. it's a 2+2 coupé by name, but you can forget about using the back seats for anyone but small children as they're tiny. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/peugeot/rcz/coupe/review

bmw 1 series review - carbuyer
full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/bmw/series-1/hatchback/review

the second generation of the bmw 1 series hatchback is packed with more gadgetry than ever, including new, super-efficient petrol and diesel engines, and lots of equipment you would expect to see on larger luxury cars. there's greater scope for personalisation (a bit like the mini) too. full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/bmw/series-1/hatchback/review
